alright guys,

as some of you know iv started a nano tank, last night when i was watching i saw 2 or 3 worms with hairs on them (which i assume are bristleworms) and 2 tiny slug/snail things that have 2 little feelers and their backs are the exact same colour as the purple/green algee on the rocks as if either aglee is growing on them or they have good camo.

anyways what are they and do i need to worry about them or not?

cheers,

andy

p.s tank update: added 1 cleaner shrimp, 2 red legged hermits and 2 turbo's.

Without pics it would be hard to tell you what exactly what they are with your descriptions. Id say your correct on the ID for the bristleworms. They wont be harmful to any stock unless they get mammoth, which in the majority of species wont happen. A good addition to your clean-up crew. As for the snails, they could be a number of species, the colour you saw, if purple, is probably corralline, which occurs on a majority of snails sp., similar with the 2 feelers that you described, so not much to go on for an ID.

Can you get pictures? Or, describe what shape the shell is. :good:

its shell or back looks soft, not like a shell on a typical snail. it looks more like a woodlouse crossed with a little slug. but the skin on its back has the exact pattening of the alge.

my camera wont focus on it as its so small, about 1cm.

any ideas?

Yep, congrats! You got yourself a great little algae eater! They breed too, so if your lucky, youll have a continuos group, I do. I never see eggs, but I see consisitent generations pop up. Take a look at night with a red light, you might see more. :D Enjoy. Glad I could help. :good:
