A Cupboard

I'll have to get more pics, but my battery gave up on me last nite lol..so I only got a few shots.

After it's done it is "suposed" to look like an English Garden...we shall see though lol.

I just got done painting all the "stones" on the wall so now I have to go back and shade/detail them. Then paint a bunch more flowers and shrubs, an dpossibly a statue ...then the trees, so the branches appear to be hanging over the wall (shoulda waited until I painted the wall..but at the time I wasn't sure I was doing a wall *hindsight*).

lol This is painted on the inside of the cupboard lol..that's why you can't tell what it is.

I took tommorrow off, but I have to go into town later tommorrow afternoon..I will drop by work and scoop up my camera and take some full shots.

They can be VERY effective.

Well, I was going to run by work but I had problems with my contacts (I lost 1 ) so I couldn't drive..since I'm half blind lol. It will be Monday Afternoon before I get to take any photos of it now...but as soon as I get home I'll snap some and post. Promise lol.

I woudl imagine teh rain..is the tears my mother has cried since I started..since I took over her kitchen as my "studio" .

lol I dunno how to paint rain ..not with acrylics lol..maybe water colors .

This is what I am painting

The bottom section that is yellow striped is actually not visable after the doors are put back on...I just thought it'd be a nice touch, when you opened the door..and voila..nice and prety stripes (the back is painted the same way. My son constantly tells me I wasted my time painting the back...because "it's just gonna be against the wall". I can't make him understand that at SOME point it will be moved and when it is..voila pretty back *aww* ..yes I'm a dork).

Yeah , my mom said the same thing when she saw it the other night. lol

But like I told her..it's gonna be painted on the outside too, so unless she just packs it full of trinkets and what-nots you should still be abel to see most of the inside lol.

This piece is just something she got for a good price at the unfinished furniture store (reg 120 and got it for 60) that she is gona sit out in her sun room.

Oh, and for lack of a better place to put this, so it doesn't look like I'm totally bragging on myself (lol)....In October I am starting back to college to finish school and get my advanced bachelor's degree...in Interior Design (I have a ass., but you can't take your cert. test with only that..gotta have a bach.) I got approved for my student loan... YAY I'm stoked (not about how much I'm gonna oew when I graduate though that part kinda sucks lmao).

lol my mom asked me just the other night, how much would I charge someone for something similar...I gave her a dry look, and said " they don't have enough money".

I have thought about painting murals on the side for some extra cash though...I have done several on my own walls.
