at long last i have found a crestie local to me for sale.I have wanted one for so long only to discover yesterday that a friend had one up for sale.So here he is

*Yikes* I was expecting a cute little crested zebra finch or a budgie LOL I have to admit lizards and snakes frighten the life out of me....but as for reptiles he's a cutie but I don't think I could go near it without pooing myself !

i am going to be keeping him in a 2ft hex tank with a part mesh lid,If your house isnt freezing cold they do not need any heat at all.they do eat crickets but the main food is fruit flavoured baby food or pureed fruit
price wise i have seen breeders selling them from around £55-£75 for grown on babys but i am getting him for £45 and he is 1 yr old

You can get the plain couloured ones for around £35 for a baby though

They've only been in captivity for about 12 years, but estimated life expectancy based on experience w/ them states 20+ years.

Thats a good age, I thought about getting a chameleon, but I heard they only live for 3 years, so once you are attached and used to it.......anyway. .

It depends on what species of Chameleon to how long they live.I know someone with an 8yr old Yemen and he is still going strong
