Well, my little babies are starting to really colour up & look like miniature betta's now. They have grown slower than I expected, but are gorgeous now. I will be starting to jar them soon I think.

they are really difficult to photograph as they are in a big tank & move so fast, but as I start to seperate them I should be able to get some better pics.

awww cute! beautiful pink! will they keep that colour.....any chance you can post pics of mum and dad plz xx

Really nice colours. Do you know what tail types they will be?

oops sorry I should have put pics of mum & dad on too, they were both superdeltas, unfortunately mum is no longer with us. Here is the best pic I could find of her:

I have about 30 babies now I think, most are too fast to photograph, but I will try to get more pictures, its lovely watching them now that they look like teeny replica's of adult betta

I quite agree, absolutely stunning daddy, and mummys pretty too. so do you think babies will be red/blue bicolour delta's?

Thanks :good: At the moment its difficult to tell, most have darker pink colourings, but a few are blue with pink fins, they are all very cute & starting to display real betta behavoir.

I seperated 9 of the larger males last night & now can see them much better, its going to be difficult to give them up. I think there are about another 6 males, plus about 10 females.

Hubs has taken the good camera to wales with him, but as soon as he is back I will get more pics, should be easier now that some are seperated.

i remember when you introduced that male. his smiley red lipstick :)
hopefully some of the babies will inherit that because it is sooooo cute!!!
babies look great!
cheers

A little update today, sorry for not keeping this thread upto date, I should be able to get better pictures once they start getting put into jars next weekend.

I'm really pleased with how they are coming along, three males in particular are gorgeous, they have been seperated into traps for now, but will be put into large jars next week. Their colours are stunning, a nice deep dark red, but with little splashes of blue  they have such little personalities already, they flare at me & each other & are very nosey.

They now feed on betta flake & crushed betta pellets & are growing really fast, i'm becoming stupidly attached & will be sad when they go.

Here are my three favorite males:
