Im sorry i know this has come up in the past but is anyone else a bit fed up with certain members on here>

you try and give advise most of which you were lucky to learn off here from the decent members, but all you get in return is a childish attitude?

Could an "adult only" section be introduced (not *that* kind of section ) where if you have over a certain amount of posts/certain age you could be allowed in? or purely based on how much you know about fish keeping

Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing how old someone is. I could easily list myself as 15 or 85 and no one would know the difference. A lot of members would be surprised to learn that some of our long time, very knowledgeable members are actually still in their teens. And unfortunately, age doesn't necessarily equal maturity.

This is basically along the same lines of the thread last week that didn't exactly go well but I will give the same advice here that I gave there:

If you post on a thread and the OP (or anyone else that posts on the thread) is obviously not taking advice (or giving bad advice) and arguing against everything they are being told, simply leave the thread alone and avoid the member. They will soon either realize that no one is going to answer them because they won't listen and begin to take the advice offered or they will leave.

As was also mentioned on that thread, it is summer and kids are out of school. We always have more trolls and bored kids on here this time of year and around the Christmas holidays (they're out of school AND got an aquarium for Christmas). All you can do is offer advice and if it isn't heeded, then just leave them be. It takes two to argue and if the OP is the only one left on the thread, the argument is over.

We had a topic nearly identical to this last week. Rdd1952 gave you the same answer as last week. I'll just add that in any topic, if you feel there is a problem or a potential for a problem hit the report button.
