Hi all, a quick note to say hello and to thank you all for your (unforseen) help over the last few weeks. (I have never had to post as all answers are here already)

My partner and I decided on an aquarium to help bring in some life into our apartment about 7 weeks ago. It took about 3 weeks to get all our water readings to the appropriate levels and the first newcomers to our water world was three guppies and three neon tetras.

Now, water changes can be a rather bit messy with novices such as ourselves and we were not having much luck with our usual siphon gravel cleaner but after a consultation with this superb forum we quickly realised that the Python was the way forward and I can confirm that it is a must-have for fishkeepers!

As time has moved on, along with the research and comments, the obstacles and pitfalls read here, we now have a thriving tank with everything correct and present. The fish seem to be very happy and have givien us so much pleasure.

As I said at the start I just wanted to give my thanks because without your help here we could've ended up with a nightmare beginners story to tell also. Please see the list of our clan below.

Good luck to one and all.

PS - I think we may have a pregnant molly..... :-(
