Hello Chaps,
I'm thinking of having a 96"x 36"x 30" aquarium made, I've had some quotes for acrylic and I think this is the way to go.
I've kept a small marine setup for the last 5years or so, but would like to go big time, not wanting to try marine's at this scale
it's time to research the tropical way.
I'm thinking of a weir at one end dumping into a sump setup (as my salty setup) as tropical's don't have the help from live-rock
is it a trickle tower with bio-balls? a uv light? anything else? I'm thinking 2 return pumps each corner at the other end.
LCD lighting looks to be a good choice, no heat, cheep to run (carbon footprint and all that), and less evaporation.
I've done some digging about, but find the shops I've approached just seem to want to sell me expensive stuff they have
gathering dust on their shelves, rather than what I may necessary actually need.
You Peep's have and are doing it, so any help, pointers would be much appreciated.
Regards.
