Sorry if this has already been asked, but im getting a 90g aquarium in a few months and had some questions about compatability. Would some of these fish fit/get along in the tank: Severum, Red Blood Parrot, Firemouth, Jewel Cichlid, Jack Dempsey, and some cory's. Or some others that could possibly work.

I'm pretty sure the Dempsey wouldnt work, I hear they aren't the nicest fish. The jewel is African, but i read that they are best kept with CA and SA cichlids, so im not sure if they would work. I know the cory's arent cichlids but i read somewhere they could be kept with certain ones, but im not sure how true this is. I'm really hoping the first three could go together, their my favorites. I was also wondering what substrate would be best to use. I heard that the firemoths like to dig, but im not sure if gravel would be better.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I want the best for my fish. Not sure when I'll be able to post again Thanks in advance for the help.

severum<yes>
firemouth<yes>
corys<yes>
parrot<i hate them,sorry>
jack dempsey if its male itll get big and may take over....so id leave it....what about going for a festivum? instead there peaceful :good:

substate prob go for a fine pea size gravel<sand looks good mind but i here its a pain to care for...this is my opinion...
lots of rocks/plants for cover<i use plastic cos cichlids like to destroy plants...bogwood all looks good..and natraul for them to hide..

Sand is easy as long as it's been washed before putting in the tank. It's easier to clean and looks better in my opinion.

I'd drop the cories, which could be bullied and the blood parrots, as I don't like them but they could work.

Sorry for the late response  Thanks for the advice nelly and jayjay :hyper:
