I have a 6month old ballon/dalmation molly mix whom showed problems swimming yesterday. He was going down to the bottom of the tank and he looked like he was breathing heavily. I added some stress coat to the water but I doubt it helped very much. This is a 10 gallon tank where he and his other 5 brothers and sisters live from my very first batch of molly fry.
Today it appears that he is much more lifeless and not swimming at all. Just laying at the bottom of the tank. I have some corries in this tank and they have made him move a few times but not much. So what now?
This is a fairly new fish that I've raised myself, I know hes been kept in the best of conditions and all of his siblings seem fine. Do I take him out of the tank and treat him with some medicine or do I leave him in. It looks to me like he is the "smallest" of his siblings and I always thought that was a little odd.
How should I approach this? I love these fish the most I think because I raised all of them from fry to what they are today. Its going to hurt alot to see him die =\
I can't believe such a young fish is sick =\
