6ft Tank Seal Repair

Am about to start process of repairing a damaged seal on my 6ft tank. I have read the topic on doing this and wondered if there was any harm in using brown vinegar instead of white.

Theres no direct harm to the fish but it can lead to staining of the glass although that isn't very likely for the short amount of time it will be on there its still a possibility. You can use some alcohol on it instead alcohol turns into ethanoic acid when oxidised and ethanoic acid is vinegar.
