You count them as you catch them out of the shop tank and put them in buckets before bagging them up. That's how we did it in the shop. And if customers wanted 100 or a 1000, we would have 2 people counting and put 50 or 100 fish in each bucket and then each bag.Me I am wondering how they know there is 600 neons in that tank, I mean how does one count 600 neons...lol...
Probably never going to happen because of the distance I would have to travel everyday, but I would love to work in a pet store/aquarium store. You count them as you catch them out of the shop tank and put them in buckets before bagging them up. That's how we did it in the shop. And if customers wanted 100 or a 1000, we would have 2 people counting and put 50 or 100 fish in each bucket and then each bag.
You can also take a photograph/ screen shot of the tank and count the individual fish. It will give you a pretty good estimate of how many are in there.
And the one cardinal stands out like a sore thumbHow do you know there are 600 neon tetras, there might be 1 cardinal in that tank
Does the right hand fin get bigger, as it is doing more work.round and round and round they go.... I wonder if the circular tank affects their comfort. Do the tetras know that there is an "end" when they are going in an endless loop? do they feel more comfortable that they can just keep swimming forward endlessly? Does it create a perception of infinity for the fish? "just keep swimming just keep swimming..." ok maybe too much coffee today....
