This is my triumphant return to the hobby after several years. Just moved into a new house that we built and I planned for an aquarium in a corner location. I looked around for some custom work, but I ended up DIY. The plan is for a gourami tank.

60 gallon (24x24x24) Rimmed Aquarium Masters tank
Eheim 4+ 350 external canister
Radion XR15W LED lighting
DIY paintball CO2 injection with continuous pH monitoring and auto solenoid control

Empty Corner-I had good foresight to put a power outlet in the corner when we built the house

I am not the greatest carpenter, but I gave it a shot in my new basement workshop

So far so good - hopefully the design is good and will support 500lbs+

My neighbor was kind enough to help me get the base upstairs from the basement

More carpentry for the canopy

Some quick paneling to finish it temporarily - I will redo this with better panels when I have more time

First residents arriving - Gold Gourami and Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami
The substrate for the planted area is a combination of black gravel, sand and fluorite along with some plant tabs interspersed.
