I have a 55 gal planted tank with a canister filter. Well the outlit of the canister filter doesn't seem to be moving the water enough. I do have a water circulation pump that moves 500gph. My main concern is my cardinal tetras. I understand they like slow moving water. Will this much circulation stress them out? If so what wpuld be a good alternative? Thanks

I have cardinal tetra in my discus tank (see signature). A single outlet from that pump may be a bit strong, but mine don't seem to mind a moderate flow. If that's the only one you have, I would probably try and place it somewhere out of site, then use use some tubing/tee pieces to split the flow and send it in differing directions which should ensure no "dead spots'" which is what I presume you're trying to achieve. Hope that helps a little.
