55g Tank W/ Divider

I purchased a tank divider from PetSmart for my 55g. The divider is clear plastic with a bunch of tiny holes. I've got the divider placed about 10inches from the end of the tank. My filter is placed just outside the divider.

Is this section getting adequately filtered?

I was reading in other posts about using plastic x-stitch sheets to make a divider. Seems like they would provide better water flow/filtration overall.

What do you think?

Personaly i wounldnt have thought so but to be ont the safe side a small Fluval 2 plus or something in the small section wouldnt go a miss.
