I have a 55g with albino corries and red cherry shrimp. Ph is 7.8. Lots of rocks and will be heavily planted. What else would you add that won’t hunt down the shrimp too badly?

What are the tank dimensions (length x width x height)?

What is the GH (general hardness) of your water supply?
This information can usually be obtained from your water supply company's website or by telephoning them. If they can't help you, take a glass full of tap water to the local pet shop and get them to test it for you. Write the results down (in numbers) when they do the tests. And ask them what the results are in (eg: ppm, dGH, or something else).

Dimensions are 46” long, 18” wide and 16” tall. Gh is 6 or 107 ppm. KH is 5 or 89.5ppm

I’m looking for a single specimen fish of some kind, what would you do?

Most single specimen fish will eat shrimp, cuz theyre yummy:)
If you have lots of hiding places they might make it but most smaller cichlids and gouramis will eat em up. I find in tanks with shrimp that smaller schooling fish like tetras rasboras pencil fish leave shrimp alone and anything bigger just see them as food.

Yeah I'm not having much luck finding a small, peaceful fish that doesn't need a school
