So it's been one week since I added the quarantined fish. They are all doing amazingly well! In another week I will try to add my blue 3 spot gourami and see how he fares with fish friends.

Right now, he is sulking/grieving over his poor mystery snail friend. The snail stopped moving for over a week(though it kept opening up and closing) but the last few days it didn't do anything. Smell test confirmed death. My gourami kept sitting next to it and wondering why it wasnt moving. He used to glass surf badly until the snail kept his attention. I'll see how he does this week without the snail in there (he doesn't care about the nerite snail in there) and hopefully try him with the fish in the 55. He's been pretty skittish too lately.

Anyway, not that you can see all of them....so far there are 12 glowlight tetras, 1 harlequin rasbora, 16 peppered cories, and 1 male bristlenose pleco. Plants are doing ok....most were in pots for over a month before I decided to plant them so they only recently got some root tabs.

so far...I'm not liking this blue color for the background as my tetras aren't showing up well. The harlequin and pleco show up awesome. I'll probably end up waiting a while to let the glowlights get a bit bigger(I know, not much bigger to get lol) and then see, but I may go to a craft store and see if I can't just find a darker blue construction paper. I don't like black. Lol. Anyway, hope you enjoy the video!

Have you checked the water quality in the blue gourami tank?
If the snail died and the gourami is nervous and stressed, there could be an ammonia or nitrite issue.

If you grow some narrow Vallis or Ambulia along the back, it will darken the tank and the fish will show up better. The tank looks good tho and when the plants have increased in size it will look even better :)

Water change is tomorrow so I can do a larger one just to make sure. But I think it's just his personality. Before the snail he would glass surf and be stressed. The snail distracted him and he seemed better. I also just put some more plants in the tank and he hates me for that. Lol. But he started acting this way before the snail actually died. he's the only fish in the tank other than the nerite snail and an absolute ton of malaysian trumpet snails.

As for the big tank, thanks! I actually want some mexican oak leaf plants. But they aren't in stock online right now. I hope one day I can get some! But yes, once the plants grow in I think it will be good. I hope the two aponegetan crispus will survive! I know I butchered that spelling....lol.
