my brother gave me a 55 gallon tank but the bottom trim is broke is there any where you can buy a replacment trim piece thanks

I haven't seen anybody selling just that top moulding piece. I would have a new piece made out of galvanized steel though if it was me. It's such a stress and breaking point on 55's

Can we have a pic of the part you are talking about. If it is the brace that goes on top of the tank, i have a remedy for that, other than that, search "Aquarium Frame" on google. you'll find something.

It depends on who made the tank. I know All-Glass sells replacements for their tanks.

I had the same problem with my 180 gallon tank and I called up all glass aquarium to see on prices for the piece and they were asking $40 for just the bottom part that broke (this is a bow front tank so might be why it cost so much)! Therefore I went to DIY. So what my dad did for me was he got this black stuff called marinetext(something like that when he comes home from work later I can get the exact name for you) and rubbed it all over the place that cracked. Once it dried he sanded it down so that it was able to paint. We then choose a sand textured color to paint the whole frame and we also painted the stand and added new handles. I will post pictures later on.

ty for the replies its a perfecto tank and one of my lfs ordered it for me for 20 dollars thanks
