I am looking to see what is appropriate to stock in a 55 gallon aquarium...It mainly a turtle tank but I want to have some fishes. I already have one and it a Firemouth Cichlid and my turtle is small (Quite close reaching two inches in length, so it doesn't bother attacking the fish)

I am looking into stocking:

1-Firemouth Cichlid (current)
1-Electric Blue Jack Dempsey Cichlid

But I would like to have more fish but I am not sure what should be compatible to the two fish and and if there is any more room to add more?

Turtles grow fast. In no time it will be large enough to eat your fish. I tried it once and my turtle killed a 5" JD and a 6" synspilium. I would recommend against fish with turtles.

+2

Saw a guy that used to own a pet shop near my area who tried this. Worked for a while. Then the turtle ate all the fish.

Shame, because it looked amazing too!
