55 Gallon Piranah Tank...

Hey just wondering, I'm restarting my 55 gallon tank and curious to know if, instead of a community tank, a tank a say 4 or 5 2 inch piranahs would work? Or would that just be cruel?? Not enitrly sure I want to do it seeing as my american cichlids are alot of work as it is... and they swallow their food whole!

i have 1 red belly in 30 gallon - hes 6 inch and everyone says that cruel to small tank

5 in 55 that be like 11 gallon a fish
