5 Week Olds Today!

I can't believe it's been 5 weeks already. I have to say im really enjoying them. It is an enormous amount of work but they are so worth it! And it's really exciting now that they're getting colour. One of them is very brightly coloured and it also has started developing a bit of a problem. twice now it's been on it's side at the top of the tank. Very active, trying to get to the bottom to eat. the first time i saw this, last week sometime, it didn't look bloated or anything but as it fought to get to the bottom, it...broke wind....and then it was fine. Then last night it was visibly bloated, and on his side at the top. Still very active, still hungry as anything, so i watched for awhile before bed and then decided that me watching wasn't gonna help and today he/she's fine again. I dunno, i'm feeding ground up blood worms and brine shrimp and grindals are on the way - should i start grinding up pellets and give them a bit of a break from frozen foods?

wow they look really really nice!!! Maybe feeding them some pellets might be a good idea.....you can only try can't you??

You could try some finely chopped peas and daphinia, that should help if the fry have constipation

some of their bodies are getting quite speckled in black? do you think the body's will turn completely black?
Kaden's body is black and all of kaden's siblings were melano hm/pk
