5 gallon tank - no filter

I pull the filter out of my 5 gallon tank, and go filterless with a betta, how long would be ideal to go between 100% water changes?

Anyone else have a recommendation on what to do for changes for this 5 gallon? I do want a betta, and I do NOT want the filter. (long horror story)

Once every 7 days, 10 days at most (providing he is the only fish in the tank). No other recommendations, sorry.
