Im getting a 5.5gal aquarium/lid 8w flourescent and a red sea nano filter.
will get 50w heater..

but my question is can i have 3 puffers in it alone... nothing else?

i will add wood/ rocks and plants..

cause in my big tank i got lots of snails to feed them lol... :p
let me know!!

Thank you.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to fit 3 puffers in 5.5 gallons. The maximum you could have is 2, and even then several people on this forum would disagree, with good reason.

P.T.

This question mgiht actually be answered better if placed in the oddball's section.

However, from my experience and what experienced fishkeepers told me (members), one dwarf puffer per 15 gallons or so is the "rule" because they tend to get aggressive.

i have successfully kept 2 dwarf puffers in 5 gal. i would not recommend more than 2.

and most would argue that its 2-5 gal per dwarf puffer. provided you give them their own "territories", that there is plenty of space and you break up the line of site with plants, caves, etc, they will be fine

i thought so..

i'm setting it up and dumping my snails from big tank into the puffer tank lol..

will have some wood and rocks and plants...
