Hi i might be getting a 4x2x2 and i was wondering what filters would be good choices? I dont mind it being internal, as long as it takes up little or no floor space...And as far as externals, would the Eheim 2217 be good? Im presumeing it would, but its quite expensive...
(oh and it would have to do atleast 1.5x turnover of a 120G tank....per hour)

Thanks, Mikey

What kind of fish are you planing to keep? 1.5x turnover doesn't sound like much at all. I would have thought you would be looking at a filter(s) that is/are rated at at least 500gph (2000lph) to get at least 4 times an hour turn over. Of course if you are not keeping many fish it is not such an issue.

I am sure the ehiem would be a good filter. I have heard only good things about them.

the eheim 2217 is a good reliable filter :good: i have 2 running on my 100g turning it over 4 times an hour.i paid £70 each for mine including all media which aint too bad.

If you are planning on keeping stingrays still then you need a minimum of 5x per hour turn over so you will need at least two Eheim 2217s and a couple of power heads with foam cartridge's in the tank to achieve this.
