Just some more details.
The tank has unusual dimensions, making it ideal for loaches and bottom feeders due to it's large footprint! I used it as I wanted a 4' x 2' tank but knew my first floor room may struggle to hold the weight of a 450L tank.
This tank is just shy of 300L in capacity.
The trim can be finished before purchase so that the sides match the front.
The background is painted blue.
The tank is in good condition, but could do with a good clean to show it off to it's full potential.
Filter/Heater
Filter is an Aqua-Pro 3 external filter, more than powerful enough for the tank size. The heater is a 300W thermostat heater. There is also a liquid display thermometer on the left side of the tank out of immediate view.
The filter will come with all necessary sponges, ready cycled and ready for use.
Lighting
The lighting is a Hagen Glo T5 HO holding 2 x 24W plant-grow bulbs which are less than 6 months old.
The luminaire doesn't fit the actual tank dimensions, but you can see in the photos how we have fitted it - this actually doesn't affect the tank aesthetics and lighting - as you can see from the photos, my plants do very well and the tank looks bright.

Included in the sale is over £20 worth of tetratec planting substrate mixed into red aquarium sand, which will also hold bacteria for the tank.
This tank is disease free as can be seen in the photo including my fish.


It is possible to include an adult male pineapple swordtail and two juvenile swordtails of the same variety, plus a trio of baby bristlenoses to start off your bottom feeder population if wanted, all in excellent health.

Just some questions - can you confirm the dimensions are 4'L x 2'W x 18"H?
Does it come with any fish? I only as as I wouldn't want any of them as they would end up as dinner for some of my catfish. I would have to then move everything I already have over as am currently running a 39"Lx18"Wx20"H, though would probably run my existing filter and the one included as it's a bigger tank.
Also - the two cupboards - is one shelved, or could I fit a filter into each? You say the back is blue - it doesn't appear to be in the photos, so assume they are pre-painting? And you say you will complete the trim before purchase?
I have to say I am very interested. If you could answer the above, I'll decide from there.
Basingstoke is about 50-60 minutes from me, so doable for collection.

Neither cupboard is shelved, you could easily fit a filter in each cupboard.

The background is blue in the photos - but the 2' depth of the tank from front to back means that it's not very obviously blue from the front, and the lighting and decor within the tank seem to affect how the background appears.

My OH will complete the trim before purchase (in fact could complete it tomorrow probably for collection Friday) - he just needs to purchase a little more of the wood for the trim and that'll be no problem. It's a real wood trim, rather than a veneer.

It's probably best to go to BlackWidow simply because I know my sister wants to clear out the room where my OH and I have been staying and this won't be possible if I have to leave a 4ft tank and cabinet in there for a week.

Arranging collection would also be a bit of a pain as I wouldn't be able to justify spending the money on fuel to travel back to Basingstoke from North London to be there for pick up of the tank, sorry

The length is 48", the width (front to back) is 24" and the height is 18". It's a shallow(ish) tank with a big footprint

My situation has changed and really I need this to go for the highest price within the next fortnight, so I'm now open to offers on this tank.

It is currently NOT sold.

Please post any offers on here and specify if you can collect or would need it delivered for fuel costs, and when you expect to be able to collect/take delivery of the tank.

Sorry for the change of heart here but my sudden change of circumstance has forced this decision.

NB collection from Basingstoke could be as last as next weekend, but no later really.
