Iv just arrived back home today from a great well needed week away.
Before i left i did a 50% water change, dosed my tank a whole weeks worth of micros and macros, turned my co2 off and set my lights to come on for just 4 hours a day.
Arrived home today and my tank looks great, like a jungle! Everythings grown like mental!
Whats interesting is my drop checker is still showing 30ppm of co2 even tho my co2 has been off for a week
I knew straight away something wasnt right
If i take the drop checker out the water it does start to turn blue.
The first thing i thought of was to test my 4DHK solution with my API KH Test kit.
Iv never done this before as i just assumed my 4DKH would be correctly mixed.
Anyway, Interestingly enough it took 6 drops to turn yellow not 4. So i have 6DKH solution not 4
?
What does this mean? Have i been underdosing co2 this whole time if i have indeed been using 6DKH solution?
Would this explain why my drop checker is showing lime green with no co2??
