Cardinal Tetras aren't the hardiest fish for a newly cycled tank; they'll do much better after the tank has matured (a good three/four months).

The reason I advised to add fish gradually is to gradually incrase the load on the filter but now you say it, I know that I was wrong.

When I first cycled my four tanks, I didn't know about fishless cycling so am not the world's best expert on cycling. Thanks for clearing that up.
