Hi all been a while since my last post on here but here goes!
ive got a 40 litre tank quite well planted and has a log in there
i went to the lfs yesterday and bought me some blue cories (i didnt worry about size because ive always got a 126 litre to put them in)
i bought 3
the tank is fully cycled so no need to worry about that
but what else do you think i could fit in there? in the 10 gal. pinned article it said i could also fit in a dwarf gourami?

Cheers
SJC

cories like to be in a group (5 minimum) and yes you could put a dwarf gourami in

no, they arent actually blue, but that is the common name, and i doubt this LFS would dye or buy dyed fish.. its a mainstream trusted FS.

So could/should i get 2 more cories and a dwarf gourami?

germ's ya man for info on gourami's but he's a bit distracted at the moment  but I'm sure I've read numerous posts by him that state to steer clear of dwarf gouramis because they are notoriously over-bred and therefore very susceptible to disease - check out the gourami section to double check though :good:

Honey or Sparkling Gouramies would probably be a nice alternative for your tank.

Honey Gouramies only get to about 2" and Sparkling Gouramis are pretty much the same. ;)

If they haven't got any, then ask them to order some in. Most lfs are happy to order them and will normally have them the following week.

oh ok, well i might be tempted to do just that but the LFS employees are total dropkicks and they just work for the company, so they would gain nothing by doing more work..?

No, not yet, they seem to be a bit freaked out, dropped a few corie pellets in there but havnt seen them eating anything yet and when i walk in the room the drop like a stone (i have seen them playing about though) will this become less of a problem in time or is this just a personality trait?
