4 puffers in a 10.

Yes dwarf puffers sorry about that...but someone on another fish board was like freaking out telling me that i needed to go with the 5 gallons a inch for the puffer, and i explained that was only for the bigger puffers...they have never kept or tried to keep puffers either.

Well, I have 6 dwarfs in a 20 gal tank along with 3 bbg's and 2 otto's and they are all doing ok. Puffs are very messy eaters. I think you would be able to get away with 4 in the 10...just make sure you have lots of hidy spots and plants to break up the lines of sight. Good Luck & HTH...

Tiff

4 Dwarfs in a 10 gal is Ok, I have 8 in a 35, along with 3 South American puffers and 2 Golden puffers and there are no problems so far (I am keeping an eye on the Goldens for now). As the others have mentioned, just make sure there are lots of plants and hiding spots, and keep up on the maintenence and they should be fine

jread: I would think it should be the other way around.
He was asking if he was overstocked. I said that if he was keeping dwarf puffers, then no, he's not overstocked. If he's keeping another type of puffer, then yes, he is overstocked.

Why should that be the other way around?

:X Sorry I misunderstood how you were answering. I thought you meant you couldn't have 4 dwarf puffers to a 10 gal. but you could have anything else. Sorry about that.
