36in 30g Tank

im thinking about putting African cichlids in this tank. like mbuna cichlids..yellow labs,etc. ive never kept african cichlids before. i know the tank isnt that many gallons its only 30 but it is 36in, im sure they would be fine. could you point be ion the right direction. like which species and how many?

I would go with 4-5 Brichardi. They don't get big, and do well in colonies. Oh and they are awesome to breed.
