3000 gallon diy planted Amazon aquarium

Well with a tank like that one certainly has a lot of utility...emergency water source for wildland fires, backup food source for the coming Trump zombie apocalypse...if one get tired of the fish, can convert to a lap pool...LOL I guess he's the ultimate Fish Nerd:banana:

LOL that is too funny. I guess that fish tank is like a boat, awesome to have a friend who lives close bye who has one, but not have to pay/take care of it :)

Its an awesome build,no doubt about that. But!...He needs to upgrade that lighting..its color rendition is terrible. I don't know how he doesn't notice that. He's got the best looking watersprite I've ever seen. I've NEVER gotten it to grow in substrate..it's always rotted roots that way and grew as a floating plant. I'm also shocked the Severums and Oscars haven't eaten them by now. Usually they will yank things up just because it's fun or their fish brains feel that plants could hide a predator?
Amazon swords, jungle Valls..but I can't say for sure they would survive in there or thrive. Indian water fern..never would have guessed that as long term.
But..the aquarium is a wonder and I know as years go by he's going to tweak it,change things. What keeps you going.
