Hello!
I was wondering if anyone may know what is wrong with my Betta. He has 3 white dots on his head that just showed up today and wanted to know if it may be ich. He lives in a 2 gallon tank ( I have had a Betta in the tank before without a problem and lived 5 years and seemed happy☺️) I have a filter and it’s too hot in Texas for a heater.
Here is a picture:

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

It is not ich.

It's possibly bacterial or protozoan or water quality related.

How long have you had the fish for?

How long has the tank been set up for?
How long has the filter been going for?
Have you tested the water for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & pH?
If yes, what where the results in numbers?

Try doing a 75% water change each day for a week and see how he looks. If the water quality is good (no ammonia or nitrite), and the problem gets worse after a week of water changes, then we will have to look into a medication for him.

You can visit the local pet shop and see what medications they carry, but don't get any medications yet and try water changes first.

Do not use Melafix or Pimafix on Bettas because it's not good for them.

Geez thats good advice, suggesting a person relies on pet shop advice about medication because we all know just how reliable pet shop advice is.
