hi,
I was lookin at my tank today dn saw that on a piece of live rock ther are 3 small polyps about 1cm each and light orange in color. I am also getting lots of algae growth mostly brown hair algae but sumthin that looks like corraline algae that is covering the back of the tank. Is there any fish that will eat the brown algae, or snails or hermit crabs to eat it. Any good sites for snails and fish. I only have about $50 though so any fish to control ot. like a tang or something.

What size tank do you have and what other fish do you have in it now?

Hi,
My tank is 55g but it is 4 feet long about 20inches tall and probably about 15inches deep so probably more than 55g if you measured it out, thats just what the people who I bought it from said.

I would look at the issues from a nutrient stand point, what are your water parameters? What is your water change schedule? What do you have for filtration? Lighting? Let us know more about the tank and we can be better help.

I have 24lbs of live rock and an aquaclear filter for water flow and basic filtering. my lighitng is just 2 uv lights that came with the cover for the top. I have 2 yellow tail damsels, 1 velvet damsel 1 tomato clown and one fish that I can't remember the name for, it was reccomended for cycling, it is dark brown with a small whitish dot on the back of the dorsal fin. I will post a picture as soon as I can.
