Hi, I have a cycled 3 gallon hexagonal tank with plants and snails. Oh and gravel as substrate. Its being filtered with a Rena Filsta iV1 and a has a Fluval Tronic 50w heater.

I really really wanna put a betta in there.

Would that be ok?

(also what is the national martial art of siam?)

Yes, you can put a betta in there, even though they prefer shallower waters (just have a tall plant he can rest on near the surface).

I believe Muay Thai is the martial art of Thailand.

should i turn the filter down so it isnt generating such a high current? Also is 24 degrees the correct heat?

(bought my betta today and he is gorgeus, left him at pet shop until im confident the tank is ready)

Most bettas do not like strong currents though some have no problem with it. You can always see how your betta likes it.

24 degrees what..Celcius? Mine like their water at 80F personally.

It really is preference with current, and in a three gallon chances are you should turn it down.

My boys like it from 78-80F.
