well if you remember from way back when i had a xenia that needed to be moved but it was weaka and i didnt have te right materials so it died.

now if youve been reading my thread then ud notice that i had 2 mushrooms move to behind my scape where i cant enjoy them, this time i bought

tulle circles
x-acto knife
rubber bands
super glue

and i peeled them off the rock put em in a dish of tank water, took em out cut em in half and attached them to LR and a snail shell (dead) with the tulle and rubber banded it to keep secure.

however imbeing paranoid cuz i want them to live so heres a few Qs

-did what i say up top sound ok procedure wise?

-one of the mushies put out the white stringy stuff thats inside them and each half got some but idk what that stuff is?

-i tried to cut them in half and i think i did but they shrank of course so i coulndt definately tell, do they really need the mouth since they are photosynthetic??

-right now they look as if you repeatedly poked a healthy mushroom, brighter than usual and still small, is that what they are supposed to look like at first?

-could over tightening the tulle be bad? not to the point that i end up with finely dice mushroom but a good tight?

sorry if i sound too vauge im just concererd, not that i should be ive got like 10 on the way and 5 that really need a trim with about 6-7 that are OK size at the moment lol.

and one last thing i want to frag my zoos to seperate the colors but how can that be done?

they are attached to a clam and the LR as well

im attempting this probably monday so any help would be appreciated im off to do research

mate you can run mushies through a food procesor (not kidding ive seen a write up on it) pour into a sand tray and they will make loads of little ones so i am sure yurs will be fine.

all you need to do is make sure they get nice flow, light and clean water or you end up with a brown slime instead of mushie :)

have you got any pics?
