im upgrading my ten gal as soon as i can. it has 2 shubunkin goldfish and 2 dojo loaches. will a 29 be big enough for them or do i need larger?

It might be a little cramped for the shubunkin, but it would be way better then then 10 gallon, so if thats all you can get then thats fine. BUT if you can get a bigger tank you really should.

right now the shubunkins are about 2.5 inches each and the dojos are about 4inches. the 29 will definetly be better than the 10 gal. i know i can fit up to a standered 55 gal in the car.......but where to put it in the house..........might need to do some redecorating.

i think id do anything for a 55 gal! :hyper: just do a bit of rearanging in the house, youl be supprised what you can fit.. but if nothing works, the 29 should be ok, but not great. maybe a 40?

thanks. looks like the verdict is 29 will work but larger is better. if im able to sqeeze in a 55 gal would i be able to get 1 more shubunkin or maybe a sarasa(SP) comet and another dojo loach?

if you get the 55 you could fit another shubunkin, or a comet or a common in quite easily, or another couple of dojos.. id search for ever to find a bristol shubunkin

thanks. im gonna try my hardest to get a 55 gal. my planned stock looks like 2 shubunkins, 1 sarasa comet, and 3 dojo loaches. i think for decorations im gonna use small natural colored gravel with some river rocks mixed in and a few large boulder like rocks with a few random plants. i would like to use real plants but last time i tried my goldfish tore them to pieces.......are there any live plants that are goldy safe?
