25l Tank Awaiting Betta. What Else Could I Add?

I have a 25litre tank set up for a betta. We resevered one at the lfs, but sadly he didn't make it through their quarentine process. They are putting another order in, so hopefully in a few weeks we should get one (my partner only wants a blue one!).

The tank is set up ready as we thought we could pick up the fish on Sat, we have a heater in there and a live plant, would like to get another plant as well to make it nicer in there for him.

Can anything else share the tank with him? If so what?

depends on the bettas personality I got mine 3 otto pals and he killed two of them the third was removed to a different tank.

Now he just lives with an apple snail.

Amano Shrimps can be good but also a high chance of getting eaten or a few dwarf cories maybe.
