25 Hex Tall Tank Mates

So, I have 25 hex tank, it is about 10" on each side and 21" tall. I would say the footprint is about the same as 15 gallon.

My ph is 7.4 and hardness about 110 ppm.

Currently in the tank I have 8 pygmy corydoras, some cherry shrimp, and various pond and ramshorn snails (who I feed to my puffers).

What are some ideas on tann mates for them?
I had an elderly betta in with them, but he passed two months ago, and I didn't want to get another after losing Ugly.
Here are some options I saw at the lfs:
Paskai Rainbows
Normans Lampeye
Cherry Barbs
Galaxy Rasbora
Ember Tetra

Of course, I can always see if one of the near-ish fish stores have any species you guys might recommend.
Another fish I was looking at was a small group of sparkling gourami.

What are options for a single fish tank wouldn't pick on the corydoras? I can always move the shrimp to another tank.

a school of neon or maybe ember tetras would look nice in my opinion maybe 6-9

I have standard neons in another tank, but I did see some green neons, and they were nice looking.
