240-gallon tank

We have a 55-gallon tank and are considering buying a 240-gallon tank. Does anyone know what type of filtration system a tank this size requires? Any information about a tank this size would be helpful.

I just bought a used one a few weeks ago and am using two marineland magnum 350 pro systems on it. I did have to make some alteration to the acrylic top.

How hard would it be to make the alterations?

Not hard at all. I used a sharpie to mark it out and rotozip to make the cuts. If you havent used a rotozip before be sure to practice on something else they can be a little tricky when you first use one.

The largest tank I have is a 180, but I use 2 x fluval 404's on it and don't seem to have any problems. Good luck!

I would also go with canister filters because I'm lazy and not so good at DYI, but if you are up for it, A Sump system is great for large tanks
