I am currently cycling my 20 gallon tank. It's been about a week know. In another week or so, I will add the plants and decorations. A couple weeks after that, I will then add the fish. My question is, will this be ok... 2 blue rams, 2 dwarf gouramis, 3 oto cats, and 3 kuhli loaches. I have done lot's of research and think i will be ok. I'm just wondering if my tank will be overstocked?

Thanks a lot :D

size wise I think you're doing good. I would only have a couple concerns with that setup. The first is the 2 dwarf gouramis, if they're both males in such a "small" setup they could get territorial and fight, so I'd make sure you had plenty of upper water cover (floating plants, etc) and watch them carefully. My second concern would be the 2 blue rams, If they are a male/female pair when they decide to breed they can become quite territorial and make life miserable for the other inhabitants, so once again just be sure to watch them. Sounds like a nice tank though and sounds like you know what you're doing so good luck and WAY TO GO on doing research first, many people forget that step.

First off, i'm planning on getting a male and a female dwarf gourami, so that takes care of the first porblem.

Second of all, I'm providing lot's of caves and hiding places for the kuhli loaches because they're nocternal and for the other fish if the rams breed.

Anyway, thanks for all the other suggestions you gave me. :D

Anyone else have any suggestions?

sounds like you got it all worked out then! Sounds like it's going to be a wonderful tank.

Yes - sounds nice. Just watch the male gourami doesn't chase the female too much.
