I'm in the early stages of thinking about getting a differetn specie tank! I'm thinking maybe a lobster of some kind? I have a 20 Gallon tank whihc i would use! would that be enough space for just one? They ok on there own?

I dont know much about crayfish but i think an electric blue crayfish can live in a 20 gallon.

If you have a 20g you could add 2 crayfish, depending on the species. You would need to make sure there are plenty of caves, rockwork, wood, etc so they could claim their own territory. Or you could do just 1, and have some fast fish (danios, killifish come to mind) that the crawdad couldn't really catch.

If your in the US i would consider cajun dwarf crays. I've had 8 for a few weeks and there pretty cool little creatures. They only get around 1 1/2-2 inch max. You would be able to put six or so in a 20 gal. They won't dig up the substrate, eat plants, or harm fish.

If you want to find some give Ebay or Aquabid a try. If your not having any luck PM me and i can give you the e-mail of the guy i got mine from....he always has them.
