Not in a bad way :p But I sent 19 out today. 17 are on their way to New Jersey. Packing them was a chore and a half, but I managed to get 17 fish into a 10X10 fully insulated box :flex:
Who's yo mama?! :flex:

Well,I am but they're gone now so I'm not the mama anymore :(

Anyhoo, I'm a bit nervous because this is my first time sending fish into show. I usually wait with anticipation to hear that they've arrived safe when I have fish in the mail and I don't think I'll here from them :/ Surely they don't email each breeder  But I could always call.... :shifty:

Didn't have a box for the two going elsewhere so I went to the post office and shipped the big box first and to get a smaller box. The po lady is always so concerned for my fish and she mentioned that she had a male forever ago and recently she spoke of him again so I thought "hmm,at least she keeps her fish alive and well" So I asked if she wanted a female for her little girl (and for her boy to flare at!) and she was like "I don't have a house for her :/ " So I brought her the recently bleached and sterilized Aquaview that my sweet HM baled out of and a beautiful little delta girl with a silk plant. While she was doing my boxes she asked for a brief betta care rundown. I saw her eyeballing the worms that I was shipping to Julie....I think there's another addict in the making :shifty:

Long dull story,I know  But it ate up my morning and made a lot of room in the betta room :hyper:
..Room to jar my most recent spawn of 7 million plakats

Awww babies went to their first big event. They'll do great!! And so nice of you to do that for the PO lady!! I'm sure she just loved her new little girl. I'm jealous... :p And good to hear my worms are on their way (thanks!!), the babies are still ignoring frozen food. :grr: I swear these are the most stuck up fry I've ever met!! Anyways, I hope everything goes well, let us know if you hear anything.

I exaggerate on the 7 mil...it's more like 100,000

Yes,Julie :*) Your worms are on the way. I'd of sent them earlier but Tuesday gave me her nasty sore throat and I've been blah lately. I sent them priority though so they should be there before the weeks up. I also sent all I had...it doesn't look like much, but chop em and make them multiply and last (but remember I can always get them for you when I go back to that lfs someday....soon)

I'm excited for the babies  Of course I'm so negative and I don't expect any wins...and I'm also kinda worried about not having them come back home if they don't sell -_- I regret not paying the return postage.

still scary wuv! sorry to highjack but is 100 or so a good size for a spawn wuv?? and i hope they arrive safely and hope tooz and you have your sore throat back to normal!

heeee :hyper: I know,I'm excited...I'll admit it. :*)

synirr~ yes :hey: I've got plenty of plakats to go around :hyper:

thats awesome wuv ;)
in the last month we have moved over 100 of our ct spawn, not including about 50 females (pretty much given away for free) and are down to our last 10 ct males, thankfully enough ;) . ended up finding 4 shops in town willing to try our fish so i guess we are lucky in a way that there are so many shops in vancouver looking for bettas. 1 of the shops we weren't too happy with as they kept their bettas in plastic cups (rainforest spectrum) but the other 3 keep them in large jars so we will be selling them more next spawn. lots of work, i can only imagine the work involved in actually shipping fish...maybe one day.

Yiep just to add to that, the people that work there are dumb. Halfmoon bettas are FULLMOON bettas DOUBLERAYED CROWNS are DOUBLETAILED CROWNTAILS. DELTAS ARE BIG TAILS AND DeformED... they have lots of fish normal lfs dont carry but tehy are just plain dumb :S

Yeah,I figure I'll hit the lfs circuit eventually. I had planned to use mine at the beginning of this coming year, maybe over time we'll work out our differences and I'll do that kind of business with them again. At this point....the last thing they've ever heard of my fish was ever so dramatic me saying "It will be a cold day in hell before another one of my bettas darkens this doorway!"

:*)

Shippings a breeze though (touch wood) It's finding the perfect supplies that bites.

lol wuv....Love the 1,000,000/100,000 plakats..where will you put them all..lol
By the way, I'd like to know where the oranges came from. Mine are from RT's lines. Maybe we can do some trading down the road. I'm conditioning a Orange plakat now to put in with a regular orange female. Never sure what to call them, since most females don't go HM..lol . HMx I guess . At least thats what ole Phil would call them..:)
