2 X Eheim Ecco 2234 Or 1 X Eheim Pro 2026?

Sorry this is similar to a question I've got in another thread but I've been reading and looking at filters for my 200 ltr tank and have a different idea now..

It currently has an Eheim Ecco 2234 which I don't feel is enough. Should I get a second Ecco 2234 and run them both together or get one Eheim Pro II 2026 and use the 2234 on my old tank when I set it back up?

With either option I'd end up with about 1000 ltr/hour turnover and almost 5ltr of filter media. Getting an extra 2234 would be less of a strain on my wallet!

Which should I opt for?

I would say get the 2026 and run it with the 2234. Then when you have your new tank, you can just take the 2234 and it will be fully cycled for that

quite possibly not I've more recently (recently is in the past few years) started "over filtering" and depends on how you set up the spray-bar. I would say it should be fine

thanks guys. Just found the 2026 online for £90 (new) and figured it's not too much more expensive than the 2234, so go for it!!

Can't wait 'till it arrives!
