Hi all, just bought a pair of aristogramma(sp) from swallow aquatics today and upon putting them in tank the red tail shark is constantly chasing them. I have turned the light off and that seems to have calmed it down. It is a 120l tank and the shark is about 2.5". Other than that there are some corys, cardinals, 2 dwarf rainbows and 3 mascara barbs (think they are also known as black spot barbs). have rearranged the tank and put in a load more plants, do you think it could be the shark is trying to claim the new caves and plants and may calm down. Not had much trouble with it before that. any ideas?
Also, the filter question. The tank is the jewel lido 120l and come with its own internal filter/pump/heater enclosure. am I supposed to change any of the filter media in this other than the filter pad at the top? Once a month I rinse the other sponges in the removed water (during water change) and change the filter pad ath the top once a week. I have an additional internal filter (that was used in the previous tank and transfered when setting up the lido, been up and running for around six months now) which is the interpet pf2. I rinse the charcoal filter pads once a week and replace once a month. I was wondering if I could use one of these filters in a way to maybe clean the water so its really clear? I have read about people using extra filters to "polish" the water?
would appreciate any advice
cheers
