2 quick cory questions

I know that corys need to have a clean substrate, so will they be ok in a tank with a UG filter (if I siphon the gravel once/week)?

Also, I don't have any caves or flower pots in the tank yet. It'll just be 2 corys in the 4 gallon for a bit, so will they be ok without any caves?

I think so. Just be certain that the bottom is as clean as you can get it and the water is always kept clean and fresh.

Alright Thanks for the reply. I'm planning on doing two water changes a week. One will just be doing a water change, and the other will be a water change and cleaning the gravel, sides of the tank, etc.

The main reason corys need caves is because their eyes are poor and they like to have a bit of shade. 8)

Aah, ok. I've set up the piece of slate leaning against a rock, so hopefully they'll discover its use pretty quick.
