Q1. One of my new male guppy's seems to have what I have read as the shimmies. He is towards the bottom of the tank, not moving forwards or backwards but is moving side to side as if swimming. I cannot add salt as have corys and have no hospital tank. All levels are fine. Any views/advice please?

Q2. My male dalmation molly is fully fanning is dorsal fin, circling the female molly then doing a little backwards move - is this a mating ritual? Its a beautiful display

1. I've never heard of shimmies, except in Mollies, so I am a little surprised your Guppy is getting it. Are you sure he isn't flicking? And does he just appear to be not moving, or is he actually shaking? What are the water params exactly, and what other fish? Anything you have done differently recently?

2. Yep. Also know as "Showing off to the girlies". :p But chances are, if he was doing this, they have (by now) mated, and you have babies on the way. :D

By the way, nice to see you back again.
