Went to my lfs today to look at the females and bought another nice blue one home. Also got a pink/red crowntail male who is so tiny but gorgeous. Also got 2 (all they had) teeny panda cories to go in one of the tanks. went to put the female in with the other one I had bought from the same shipment this week and noticed that her top fin was a little ragged and also one of her side fins so have put some interpet fin rot meds in with her. Had to move my other healthy female out into my guppy grow-out tank! She's very laid back and isn't touching them for now but they are being moved tomorrow just in case
The cories unfortunately also have signs of fin rot so I've put them in with her to get medicated too. They are soooo tiny that I wonder if they will actually make it. They were zooming around the tank like crazy the first few hours but one has gone very quiet for now. Have put an airstone in there to increase the oxygen.
Lastly my crowntail male looks fine and has been swimming round but I've noticed that his side fins look a little ragged. Now I know he is a crowntail and his other fins are supposed to look "ragged" but does this include his side fins or have all my new fish got fin rot from this rubbish lfs? Your help and views would be appreciated
None of these problems showed up by the way when I picked the fish as they use subdued lighting
