I have had my 46 gal up and running for 2 months now and I have not lost a single fish (knock on wood). Currently have 6 fake julii cories, 6 zebra danios, 6 black skirt tetras, 1 pleco and 4 ghost shrimp, all are living happily... :D

Yes keep up the good work.

Sounds good to me - keep up the good work. Did you cycle the tank before adding the fish?

Unfortunately I did a fish cycle with the zebras but they were troopers and are fine as can be playing tag 24/7 :D

I do weekley 20% water changes, and test the water before everychange... Only things it i am starting to get brown algae growth, the tank now is mainly plastic with a bunch of anarchis, and 1 crypt. The pleco(common will have a new home by spring) is trying to eat it all but he is not keeping up thinking on picking up a group of Otto's.

Get 3 or 4 otos in there
ot a big mouth pleco if you like plecos (they grow to 4-5 inches)

I've had my tank running for a little over a month and it is finally cycled

couldn't wait to add a pleco, the windows were ditry and scraping them was a pain

After one day, everything is clean

What do you mean by 'fake' julii?

Jon

I think 'fake' reffers to fake plants? I think otos would be ideal. Keep up with whatever you're doing :p It's deffinately working :D
