Well I got a starter set ( small bowl, two goldfish, bag of stones and a pot of food ) I called one shunsuke and the other nakamura ( Celtic player Shunsuke Nakamura )

So I took them home, just as I got in the door Naka stopped moving and was on his side, he was dead already, so I thought, maybe the poor thing had an illness or something, then later that night shunsuke died.

I thought it might just be my bad luck that I got two unhealthy ones.

But my sis got her boyfriend two and they died later that night to, they were from the same shop, should I say something to the litle old man that owns the store or just ignore it and go somewhere else to buy two.

id say they though theyd best die now than suffer in a bowl. seriously though. not good to keep goldfish in bowls. but if they died before you got them home id say something. bowls will poison your fish and do them no good in the longrun

To be honest they wouldnt have lasted long in the bowl.

Common goldfish need at least 15 gallons each when small and a heck of a lot of filtration.

I would go back and tell him they died before they got home and maybe get credit notes on them. It would be wise as well to learn all you can about goldfish before buying any new ones as they do need a lot more care than people think.

Obviously that old man noes nothing! He should be set straight right away and told fancy goldfish need 20g minimum per one and 10g added for each extra, along with them needing filtration. Tanks need to cycle before any fish go into them. Looks like you really should have done some research...

yeh I used to have about 5 goldfish in a tank and they lasted a good long time, I think I`ll save up for another tank

Common goldfish, IMO, should have nothing less than a 4x2x2 as adults, preferably a pond. Fancies, a 3x1x1 is sufficient for one or two of most varieties, but not the larger ones.
