I have a Pleco in my tank (see signiture) but lovely as he is we hardly ever see it and it is rather lazy. He is fine with the cichlids and stands up for him self.

What I was wondering was would it be ok to introduce a bristlenose as well? I don't particularily like them but they do do a good job

This is the Plecos section, right?

Oh good it's in the right section then :shifty:

If i remember correctly your fish gets quite large and boisterous?, the name in your sig is confusing me lol, i thought a 137 was called a hypostomus soniae getting to around 10 inches?.

You caould add another plec..ie. BN but just make sure the tank has plenty of hiding places and enough room to form terrotories.

As with many plecs, you could have a nice placid plec that just couldnt care less if another was in the tank, you could have quite a nasty piece of work that wont tollerate it, try but be vigil and watch behaviour between the two. :)

Probably just a secondry name given then, more commonly known i think as hypostomus soniae, stunning plecs either way lol, they can and this is just from my experience be quite bad tempered lol, as i said you can only try but like most advice in relation to this, just be prepared to maybe rehome if it doesnt work out ;)

ok, 2 plecs can be kept together, but as your adding a new one to an existing one, there will morre than likely be fights.

change the stting, add plenty of holes to hide, and try that, but be prepared to have to rehome the new guy.

i have 2, and they get along great, but 1; theyre still babies, and 2; i bought them together.

in your particular breed, i dont know if they prefer to be alone etc. that you would have to check on

hope this helps

All things considered he's staying alone
