I have a conservatory, where the fish tank lives, because it takes up a lot of space.
The thing is, the roof is made of insulated plastcc sheeting, not glass etc. its still sealed from the rain and snow etc. but does little for keeping the heat in, as you can imagine walking into it from the warm loungge is like walking straight outside. I play my xbox in there on the sofa, so i warm it up in the evening when im in there, but it drops dramatically at night in this cold winter.
Now, how can i help keep the fish warm? is it just a case of getting three 300watt heaters? or do i need to think about a room heat source... i have a heater in there but its expensive to run constantly.
Does anyone know the minimum room temperature required to keepa tanks temperature constant? Does anyone have their tank in their shed or garage??
i have a 30 gallon btw
cheers
